SUMMARY:

 The Design Professional works with the Project Architect and Project Manager as a member of the project design team to coordinate the design development, production, and delivery of projects. Responsible for working with the project team to assist the overall effort of completing various project phases. Some assignments require independent action and decision making. This position reports to the Director of Architecture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture required.
  • 2+ years of experience in architecture.
  • Experience with commercial, manufacturing, light industrial, clean-room, lab, or R&D facility design preferred.
  • Experience in project coordination.
  • Knowledge of architectural building systems.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM required. Proficiency in AutoCAD a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • With direction from the project architect, has ability to develop, modify, and/or review drawings ensuring the incorporation of design intent.
  • Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
  • Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and builds models in Revit for client/project team review.
  • Compiles data and performs elementary design computations.
  • Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research.
  • Participates in the design document QA/QC process.
  • Assists the Project Architect in construction administration related tasks including site visits.
